Hey,
I am Elise
Welcome to my site, Honestly Elise. I have always dreamed of creating a place where I can share my experiences, thoughts, and advice. The only set back has been that it is scary. But, 2019 holds so many great things in my life so, why not start this new journey with the internet?
A little about me, I am 26 year old living in a suburb south of Seattle. I have an amazing life with my Fiancé, Nick. We will be getting married this coming June and I can’t wait to share that journey with all of you. We have a Parti Yorkie dog son Tucker, who is the cutest thing in the world. I may be biased but I swear he really is. Nick and I love to travel, watch movies, and stay active as much as possible. I am a candy feen, especially Haribo Gummy Bears, I could honestly live off of them. I love to shop and try to find a good deal. I would literally do anything for those I love and when I say anything, I mean it!
I recently started a new job in education. Previously, I was a classroom teacher, special education teacher and now a behavior specialist. It has been a crazy 5 years! But I love what my new job has given me. A lot of joy especially with being able to help fellow teachers with behavior. This has always been something I loved and found so interesting. I also have the ability to help schools build systems to continue to support and create learning environments for every single student, which is something in education is not always the case. So, it is an honor to be able to do that.
I like to take risks in life, whether it be fashion or career but also fear to step too far outside of the box and fail. Hence, not starting a blog right away. I am a minimalist at heart but find it hard to pick just one thing to focus on. But, with whatever I do I try to do things I truly love.
In creating this blog, I want to have a place where I can share my journey of continuing to find myself, share my ideas and thoughts but also, in turn, create a community where others can also share their thoughts and learn a few things from each other along the way.
As an educator, I always find myself telling students and coworkers, “you have the ability to become and do anything you want”, but rarely have I actually taken my own advice on this, ironic I know. So here goes nothing, I am finally doing something I have always wanted to do, share my life and advice honestly as I can to people like you.
If, you’d like to read some honest, funny post about my crazy teaching stories, teaching advice, affordable (teacher ballin on a budget here) fashion advice or anything in between you’ve found your place.
Enter your info so you can stay updated! I’d love to hear from YOU! So please, let me know any content you are looking for in the comments!
So, cheers and here’s to one crazy, honest ride.
Honestly Elise
